Department Overview We are looking for Engineering Interns – Tool Installation & Equipment Ramp to join our the team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Advanced Manufacturing Engineering - Automation and will be based in Fremont, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older and currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Field (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or similar).
  • Students working toward an Associate’s degree with plans to transfer to a Bachelor’s in Engineering program will be considered.
  • Must be fluent in English, ability to converse in Korean or Japanese is a plus

  • Mechanically inclined with strong hands‑on skills and interest in high‑volume equipment.
  • Creative problem‑solver with high energy and a strong desire to learn.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • An interest in manufacturing environments, lab work, robotics, or automation.
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems, tooling, or electromechanical assemblies

Responsibilities

  • Assist AME engineers in the flawless installation, validation, and ramp‑up of high‑volume manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform hands‑on mechanical tasks including equipment setup, basic troubleshooting, alignment activities, and process checks.
  • Collect data, document findings, and provide clear status updates to AME team members.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure safe, efficient, and timely tool installations.
  • Travel as needed to support equipment at supplier or remote manufacturing locations.
