About The Position

SPX Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (QA) Intern for a paid summer internship program in Olathe, Kansas. This role offers hands-on experience in a diverse team environment, where interns will learn from experts and collaborate on impactful projects. SPX Cooling Technologies, a leader in industrial HVAC equipment, provides innovative solutions for large facilities. The internship will involve working closely with plant engineers and the Quality team to enhance processes and reduce errors.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer/Electrical Engineering.
• Programming experience, preferably in VBA, C+, etc.
• Candidates must have completed their second year of studies.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• High problem-solving skills and self-direction.
• Must be eligible to work in the US; company will not provide sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Technical hands-on experience with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Work with plant engineers to evaluate, develop and document processes.
• Perform training of personnel in such processes.
• Work with Production to understand current state; use this knowledge to generate changes that result in error proof processes.
• Support and work with the Quality team to reduce errors that lead to customer complaints.
• Perform audits of Quality processes and Management System elements. Generate reports detailing any deficiencies that were identified.
• Support the overall continuous improvement projects of SPX at the Olathe manufacturing Plant.
