About The Position

Responsible for creation and release of complete and accurate work instructions. Possesses various troubleshooting skills with return to Dwg methodology experience and has general experience assembling / disassembling hardware containing tight or interference tolerances. Participates in RS25 flight engine manufacturing, assembly, and testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with all levels of manufacturing staff.
  • Experience with Delmia.
  • Experience with deploying electronic work instructions and/or Bill of Materials (BOM)s
  • Previous role in manufacturing, front-loading product definition, and technical work instruction development to comply with product and process definitions.
  • Proficiency in machining, geometric design and tolerancing, and assembly processes.

Responsibilities

  • Works with Quality, Engineering, and Safety organizations to achieve common goals.
  • Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.
  • Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects.
  • Works under general supervision.
  • Provides design for manufacturability and assembly feedback to design center.
  • Reads and interprets engineering drawings and requirements to translate to process planning that produces conforming hardware.
  • Assists in product and tooling drawing design reviews.
  • Provides technical guidance and/or training to shop floor, design and management teams.
