Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX. Manufacturing Engineers develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying products and manufacturing methods. They analyze product specifications to determine appropriate designs and processes that support these customer requirements. You would apply your skills to develop, test, modify, and create solutions through a collaborative effort with various teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with degrees in manufacturing, mechanical, chemical and electrical majors preferred.
  • This position requires 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Internship experience in a manufacturing or mechanical environment
  • Experience/education with technical writing
  • Experience/education with interpretation of technical documentation
  • Experience with project execution
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired

Responsibilities

  • Design, control, and improve the manufacturing process through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team
  • Supports weapon assembly
  • Improve cycle time and lead time
  • Implement manufacturing process control and performance monitoring
  • Create and oversee improvement projects
  • Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes
  • Perform hardware defect analysis
  • Participate in corrective action investigations
  • Work 2nd shift
