About The Position

Our Lockheed Martin Enterprise Operations team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to work across Lockheed Martin Business Areas (BAs) to understand manufacturing execution system (MES) requirements and capabilities. The successful candidate will align and harmonize common requirements and processes across BAs, generate functional specifications, and collaborate with IT developers to support the development, testing, and deployment of MES capabilities. Note: This role is fully remote. There is no expectation or requirement to live near a LM site or be onsite on any recurring frequency. However, significant travel will be required situationally to meet program needs. Expect 25% - 75% travel. US citizenship is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities
  • Experience working with Apriso or other MES systems
  • US citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with functional specification development
  • Experience with developing and deploying new software tools into production
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and IT project management
  • Experience leading or working on a scrum team in an Agile environment
  • Significant experience with Lockheed Martin Manufacturing processes

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders across multiple Business Areas to understand MES requirements and capabilities
  • Align and harmonize common requirements and processes across BAs
  • Translate business requirements and capabilities into functional specifications
  • Collaborate with IT developers to support the development of MES capabilities
  • Test and validate MES capabilities prior to deployment into production
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption of MES solutions
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including leadership, technical teams, and customers
  • Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
