About The Position

Job Summary: Under limited supervision, drives strategic process excellence initiatives that support the plant’s mid-term roadmap for productivity, rationalization through automation, and lead time reduction. Evaluates the 3–5 year target plant image to understand and identify systemic gaps in processes, technology, and operational capabilities. Identifies, benchmarks, and implements global best practices in material handling automation, digital operations, and manufacturing process optimization. Leads cross-functional teams to evaluate new solutions, conduct pilots, validate impact, and integrate successful initiatives into the plant’s operating system. Acts as a strategic advisor and subject-matter expert on transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with plant, regional, and global process excellence strategies by effectively incorporating EF principles. This role will require domestic and international travel approximately 10% of the time. Strategic Assessment & Gap Identification Analyze future-state plant targets and identify gaps that limit achievement of productivity, manpower, and lead time goals. Translate strategic gaps into prioritized problem statements and improvement opportunities. Maintain a structured roadmap of required capabilities and improvement pathways. Best Practice Evaluation & Development Benchmark process excellence and advanced manufacturing practices across regional and global affiliates and industry leaders. Evaluate technologies such as automation of logistics, conveyance, or related processes, digital workflow systems, and advanced planning tools. Identify high-value concepts for local evaluation and potential deployment. Pilot Management & Validation Lead structured pilot projects to test new processes or technologies. Define KPIs, validation criteria, and pilot scope in collaboration with Production, Process Engineering, and Logistics. Document results and advise on regional/global implications and scalability. Implementation & Change Management Support deployment of validated solutions into production, ensuring proper change management, documentation, and stakeholder alignment. Provide guidance on resourcing, adoption barriers, and sustained performance management. Contribute to the development of site standards, workflows, and best practices. Cross-functional Coordination & Training Act as a connection point between the plant and global process excellence teams. Support development of internal expertise to sustain new solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or related experience
