About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY Accomplishes Production staff results; Ensures efficient assembly of durable medical products; Ensures the procurement of quality goods and materials to be used in production; Ensures the efficiency and quality of product shipment; Maintains a safe working environment; Contributes to team effort. PRIMARY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Accomplishes Production staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Ensures efficient assembly of durable medical products by overseeing stock and inventory levels ensuring purchased product is received as stated; making adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications Ensures the procurement and receipt of quality goods and materials to be used in production by reviewing and approving suppliers to be added to the Approved Supplier List; reviewing supplier performance; inspecting equipment control, maintenance, and calibration; overseeing the following: preparing and processing requisitions and purchase orders; locating vendors and determining product availability and terms of sale; reviewing purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy; reviewing bid proposals and negotiating within budgetary limitations and scope of authority; maintaining records of goods ordered and received; Maintains a safe working environment by ensuring that all staff attends mandatory safety training; cleaning and maintaining a clean work area Updates job knowledge by participating in required training. Accomplish company and organizational mission by contributing to team effort and handling other duties as assigned by assisting in the overall success of the company.

Requirements

  • Successfully manages teams.
  • Excellent people management skills including delegation, giving feedback, promoting teamwork, and performance management.
  • Skilled at using database, spreadsheet, and word‐processing software to prepare statistical and written reports with varying degrees of complexity and detail for management.
  • Manages complexities and competing priorities.
  • Coordinates information and activities among groups with differing agendas, across multi‐functional areas.
  • Effective managing in a changing environment. Skills include leadership, planning, developing policies, delegation, and tracking performance against measurable goals.
  • Track record of maintaining high quality standards for the organization and implementing quality initiatives
  • Familiarity with issues of compliance with ISO and FDA regulations.
  • Ability to become qualified to perform Lock‐Out/Tag‐Out procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds required.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff
  • Proficient with inventory reporting systems
  • Associate’s Degree in related field or accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program required; 5 years relevant experience in a similar area required
