And of course, in your ideas to improve lives while preserving our planet’s beauty for the generations to come.   Our Manufacturing  team, composed of 20 people, is integrated in the Production Operations department and focuses on executing manufacturing processes in accordance with QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental) rules and regulations while meeting or exceeding customer requirements in collaboration with HSE and Compliance.   As a Manufacturing Operator, you will manage the flow of day to day operations within assigned area, support the plant’s quality management systems and its compliance with pertinent quality standards, to support and promote continuous improvement activities. You will get the opportunity to contribute to maintaining a safe working environment and ensure team compliance and have a positive impact on the Site's key performance indicators (KPI’s) and overall Equipment Effectiveness. Requirements

  • Relevant education degree of High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Relevant work experience of at least 2 years in Industrial background.
  • Ability to work effectively with relevant computer software such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SAP, Project Wise, Aspen Process Explorer.
  • Ability to understand operation fundamentals such as pipe configurations, valve line ups, operation of a pump, etc.
  • Perform under stress when confronted with emergency or critical deadlines in which working speed and accuracy, along with sustained attention, are critical to success.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently: exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; working around moving mechanical parts; working in high, precarious places; working in environments that could contain fumes, airborne particles, acids, bases, highly hazardous chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.  The noise level in the work environment can exceed 85 decibels.

  • Work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule that could involve days and nights. This schedule also requires being available for overtime during certain periods (either scheduled overtime, or being on call in case unscheduled overtime is required), working weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training (specialized training for operator or 2 years of college) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor field equipment (by inspection & instrumentation – walking rounds, observing pressures, levels and temperatures on vessels and moving equipment or using other visual/audible indication), adjustments, and troubleshoots equipment as needed.
  • Corrective and preventive actions to keep the chemical processes within acceptable control guidelines as well as to avoid safety, environmental or quality incidents during normal or upset process conditions.
  • Monitor all direct aspects of chemical process production, by field observation and/or by control system monitoring, while also recognizing abnormal conditions while performing daily routine tasks.
  • Maintains written record of field instrumentation readings, log of process changes, equipment malfunctions, and safety issues.
  • Collects process samples, runs lab analyses on process samples, assesses need for process changes based on analytical results, and documents results & actions.
