About The Position

You will be the Manufacturing Planner. This role works in the Production, Planning and Control organization as a Buy MRP Controller. What You Will Be Doing As a Manufacturing Planner you will: Work in the Production, Planning and Control organization as a Buy Planner. Coordinate interdepartmental activity with purchasing, finance, manufacturing, program, engineering, etc.; schedule and expedite requirements by means of purchase requirements, stock transfer orders, internal transfers, and engineering needs. Resolve issues that may arise in the manufacturing process by interfacing with all supporting organizations. Utilize SAP and other software to perform tasks. Must be a self‑starter and possess strong interpersonal skills. Work outside of normal operating hours as required. Ability to work remotely Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Requirements

  • Degree focused in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • ERP/SAP experience
  • Past experience with manufacturing shop floor planning and/or supply chain planning for purchased components.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • Must be a self‑starter and possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors/Masters Degree
  • Educational background in Operations Management or related discipline.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS)
  • ASCM Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt trained and certified
  • Knowledge of industry wide best practices and processes for managing material flow through the entire production supply chain.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
  • Experience with multi-tasking and managing competing priorities.
  • Experience with analyzing problems and recommending solutions.
