The Manufacturing Process Manager oversees all plant manufacturing functions and focuses on safety, quality, delivery, efficiency and cost reduction. The Manager supervises production staff and creates a successful team culture through coaching and mentoring. They are also accountable for various manufacturing key process indicators.   • 5 years of manufacturing experience
  • 3 years of experience in a leadership position
  • Have a keen eye for detail and take pride in producing quality work.
  • Enjoy hands-on roles and working with machinery or are eager to learn.
  • Are comfortable working in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
  • Value safety, organization, and continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Background in the steel industry with hands-on experience in welding processes and techniques.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technology and computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite; must be capable of creating and managing spreadsheets, reports, and documentation with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to adapt to new systems and tools relevant to manufacturing operations.
  • Budget management background

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage Compass shipping, scheduling, and delivery
  • Report on weekly forecast tons and hours
  • Communicate quality changes, inspections, drawings, root cause and corrective action.
  • Understand tolerances and fabrication requirements.
  • Create process goals and monitor efficiency
  • Administer inventory control
  • Mentor new hires and employee department transfers
  • Ensure all inspections are complete
  • Maintain employee work schedules in payroll system
