This position reports to: Senior Production Engineering Specialist __ The work model for the role is: Onsite, Mebane, NC Your role and responsibilities: Build, assemble, and install custom carts, racks, and material handling equipment Perform basic to intermediate welding and fabrication tasks Use hand and power tools daily (grinders, drills, saws, calipers, etc.) Operate a forklift to move materials and finished structures as needed Modify and repair existing equipment to support production needs Work from basic drawings, sketches, or instructions (no design required) Support continuous improvement initiatives by physically building and implementing solutions Maintain tools and ensure a safe and organized work area Assist with general maintenance and shop support as needed Responds to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production process.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hands-on manufacturing, assembly, fabrication OR maintenance role
  • Experience in assembly and building structures or equipment
  • Welding experience required (basic to intermediate)
  • Experience operating a forklift (or willingness to be trained)
  • Strong experience using hand and power tools
  • Ability to read basic drawings or follow instructions
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required
