Interstates is currently seeking a full-time Manufacturing Quality Assurance Technician I to join our Manufacturing team in Sioux Center, Iowa. This entry-level role supports the Quality Manager and production team in maintaining high product quality standards for control panels and related assemblies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-minded, and motivated to support continuous improvement efforts within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality principles preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to follow structured processes and maintain accurate documentation
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safety and quality standards

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in industrial technology, manufacturing, electrical, or related field helpful but not required

Responsibilities

Conduct manual and automated quality inspections and tests at various stages of the production process
Perform panel testing
Identify defects or nonconformities and communicate findings to the Quality Assurance Manager
Ensure safety and quality standards are consistently upheld
Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions
Assist in creating and maintaining quality documentation
Support adherence to quality standards, audit preparedness, and document control processes
Ensure testing and inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained
Utilize structured problem-solving methods (e.g., root cause analysis, 5 Whys) to resolve quality issues
Support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to reduce defects and improve process capability
Participate in 5S and GEMBA walks on the shop floor
Assist the Quality Manager in recommending and implementing quality improvements
Communicate safety or quality concerns promptly and work collaboratively toward resolution
Partner with production team members to ensure consistent quality execution
