About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Reliability Engineer to support reliability and continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for improving equipment performance, reducing downtime, and implementing reliability centered maintenance practices across plant operations. The Manufacturing Reliability Engineer partners with Maintenance, Operations, Safety, Quality, and Training teams to establish and maintain a unified reliability strategy that enhances asset performance and operational efficiency. This position provides technical leadership and direction to maintenance personnel and other plant support teams to ensure equipment, processes, and systems operate at optimal reliability levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in manufacturing reliability engineering or industrial maintenance environments.
  • Strong knowledge of reliability engineering methodologies including Reliability Centered Maintenance, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and Total Productive Maintenance.
  • Experience using CMMS systems and reliability data analysis tools.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and cross functional collaboration skills.
  • Completion of required safety training including Alchemy Safety Training.
  • Required personal protective equipment will be provided by the facility.
  • Ability to work within a manufacturing environment and collaborate with multiple plant departments.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States for an indefinite duration without sponsorship or restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct root cause analysis on high-cost failures, recurring downtime events, and reliability issues.
  • Lead failure mode and effects analysis initiatives to eliminate chronic equipment problems.
  • Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs using CMMS data and condition monitoring technologies.
  • Analyze downtime trends and equipment performance data to identify opportunities for reliability improvements.
  • Support maintenance planning and scheduling teams to ensure efficient execution of maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with OEM partners and vendors to improve equipment design, maintainability, and spare parts strategies.
  • Facilitate plant wide initiatives that align Maintenance, Operations, Safety, Quality, and Training teams around shared operational goals.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste, improve process stability, and increase equipment uptime.
  • Partner with safety and quality teams to ensure reliability improvements support compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Promote operator care programs and autonomous maintenance practices as part of daily operational routines.
  • Analyze CMMS maintenance history and production downtime data to identify reliability trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Modify data collection procedures and coding structures to ensure complete and accurate reliability data capture.
  • Develop performance dashboards and key performance indicators to track reliability improvements.
  • Conduct asset criticality assessments and lifecycle cost analysis to guide maintenance and capital investment decisions.
  • Support development of technical training programs for maintenance and operations personnel.
  • Mentor plant teams on reliability engineering practices and continuous improvement tools.
  • Promote a culture focused on accountability, proactive maintenance, and operational ownership.
  • Review preventive maintenance data against equipment history to refine maintenance frequencies and procedures.
  • Participate in integrated maintenance planning processes to support cost reduction and reliability improvements.
  • Utilize analytical techniques such as Pareto analysis, spreadsheet modeling, and graphical analysis to identify sources of plant productivity loss.
  • Evaluate equipment lubrication requirements, methods, and schedules to maximize equipment life.
  • Establish precision lubrication programs.
  • Lead predictive maintenance initiatives including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound inspection, corrosion monitoring, and fatigue analysis.
  • Participate in design reviews for new capital equipment and facility upgrades to ensure maintainability requirements are met.
  • Analyze spare parts programs to increase component standardization and interchangeability.
  • Assist in improving maintenance documentation, equipment drawings, and technical records.
  • Analyze maintenance workforce productivity and support continuous improvement initiatives.
