About The Position

Spiritus is a climate tech company at the forefront of net-zero power generation and Direct-Air-Capture (DAC) technology. With a dedication to innovation and sustainable stewardship of our environment, Spiritus has crafted a unique position in both the power and carbon removal markets. Our novel sorbent system achieves rapid CO₂ uptake under passive DAC conditions and uses a low-temperature desorption process that dramatically lowers capture costs, approaching $50/t. Spiritus brings this breakthrough to market through Orchard Power- net-zero generation that pairs natural gas with carbon capture and DAC and Carbon Orchard, a scalable, modular DAC+S solution for gigaton-scale removal. Backed by Khosla Ventures, Aramco Ventures, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, and TDK Ventures, Spiritus is building Orchard Power and Carbon Orchard into cornerstone solutions for global climate change mitigation. We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Scale-Up Engineer to plan, design, and implement a next-generation production line. This role will play a critical part in translating pilot-scale success into a robust, efficient, safe, and compliant full-scale manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering fundamentals with practical production experience, and brings demonstrated expertise in scaling processes, equipment selection, facility planning, and environmental health & safety compliance. If you thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and are eager to make a significant impact, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
