About The Position

Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing & Production Process and Equipment experience)
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of automated milling/edge contour process (milling, vibratory, slurry, robots, etc.)
  • Program experience with milled, turned, shaped, and ground features
  • Must have knowledge of GE Aviation specs relating to edge contour criteria
  • Robotic edge contour experience
  • Previous experience as a process engineer producing rotating parts for jet engines
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI)

Responsibilities

  • Program CNC machines, automated processes, and robotics
  • Deliver processes as part of a manufacturing engineering team
  • Define and control production process including tooling and equipment
  • Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment
  • Develop new solutions under guidance and / or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations
  • Work together with business leadership (business leaders, plant leaders, etc.)
  • Specify needs, communicate about project approach, and present outcomes of research done
  • Work directly with production employees and on cross functional teams
