The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Manufacturing Supervisor in Menomonie, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Promoting a safe and sustainable working environment through modeling safe behaviors as well as recognizing and resolving safety related problems. Actively lead incident investigations and WIMs reports, including presenting incident resolutions to site leadership. Cultivating and leading a team by encouraging and implementing cross training activities, cooperation, innovation, flexibility, and teamwork. Scheduling work priorities consistent with engineering directives, coordinating maintenance activities, allocating work assignments, communicating expectations and monitoring workflow. Providing coaching and feedback to employees and utilizing corrective action to resolve conflict and inappropriate behaviors. Monitoring production rates, yields, and quality of products routinely, communicating results to employees and leveraging continuous improvement tools to improve scheduling, quality, and efficiency. Leading, coaching and developing employees through direct supervisor, floor presence, monitoring and coaching of production employees, providing recognition, overseeing training completion, policy administration and participating in hiring processes. May include contingent workers. Implementing advanced working knowledge and interpretation of corporate and site policies and procedures. Ensuring shift administrative activities such as time reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, overtime, etc. are properly implemented and documented. Representing plant leadership team through supporting initiatives across the plant, including but not limited to supervision coverage for alternative shifts, being on-call and supporting 24/7 production through flexible work schedules when required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start) and Six (6) years of manufacturing and/or production experience in private, public, government or military environment.
  • OR Bachelor’s Degree or high completed and verified prior to start and two (2) years of manufacturing and/or production experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
  • Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Minimum of three (3) years previous supervisor/management experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Experience coaching/mentoring less experienced supervisors.
  • Experience leading daily tier management process, continuous improvement processes, and leading improvement projects (kaizens).
  • Communicate written and verbally clearly and concisely and influence changes with operators as well as other plant employees and management team members
