About The Position

The Manufacturing Systems Administrator oversees Brunswick’s Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) at the site, providing guidance and support to manufacturing operations in deploying these applications. Current MES applications include the Quality Control Information System (QC2), Shop Floor Manager (SFM), Andon Takt Clock System, and Warehouse Management System (WMS/EPT), and Component Shop Floor (CSF). This role also involves working with data repositories such as MS SQL, Business Objects, and Power BI. The Manufacturing Systems Administrator collaborates with MES administrators across BBG sites, supports standardized use of data systems, and provides user training, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or Information Management preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of work experience and a technical degree may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Yellow Belt Certification is preferred, with an expectation to achieve Green Belt certification before assuming higher responsibilities.
  • Quality Assurance, Business Systems, or Industrial Engineering training is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Administer data and reporting systems utilized at the site with support from senior administrators.
  • Implement standardized data collection strategies to optimize product quality and improve product flow, utilizing existing BBG systems available.
  • Articulate business requirements where BBG system improvements are needed.
  • Train employees on system updates, enhancements and process changes.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of data collection methods.
  • Perform data analysis, report top issues, and create trendline graphs for relevant departments.
  • Model data using tools such as MS Excel, SQL, Business Objects, PowerBI and other data warehouse analytical tools.
  • Support the implementation, administration, and ongoing maintenance of new data tracking and reporting software across BBG.
  • Assist with data and reporting needs for other sites as requested.
  • Perform job duties in a manufacturing environment, adhering to PPE requirements and maintaining a safety mindset.
  • Undertake additional tasks as determined relevant by management.
