We're looking for a talented Manufacturing Technician I to support our industry leading products here at Tosoh Quartz, Inc. Shift Schedule: 4:00 am - 12:30 pm, Monday - Friday As the Manufacturing Technician, you will assist in the manufacture of quartz components using a variety of tools and equipment. Important note: This position works with chemicals (including acid) for up to 80% of the shift. All employees must strictly follow all safety protocols and wear required safety gear at when working with chemicals.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to accurately follow instructions.
Able to lift and extend with arms outstretched, up to 50 lbs. Tension is placed on pronating and supinating the wrist.
Aptitude for learning; blueprints, machine mathematics and precision measurement equipment.
Able to wear all required, Company-provided safety gear during your shift. This includes goggles, aprons, boots, acid pants (optional), 2 sets of gloves, and a half mask or PAPR respirator.

Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment.
Experience wearing safety equipment during shift.

Responsibilities

Cut glass to the required lengths, cut in bevels, slots or other features, etch off layers to perfect glass and rinse item in acid bath between all steps.
Produce and inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
Work in accordance with process procedures, work order instructions, drawings, and other production documents.
Perform detail work, which may include waxing, dewaxing, chamfering, acid wash or other cleaning, cosmetic inspection of parts and other similar functions.
Maintain equipment. Detect and correct minor machine malfunctions and perform daily and monthly machine maintenance as directed.
Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area.
Wear and use all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) properly and in accordance with manufacturer and OSHA regulations.
