About The Position

The position of Manufacturing Technician, reporting to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, under limited supervision, provides technical support to the manufacturing engineering and production team(s) to manufacture and assemble existing and future products.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Understanding and experience of the processes and procedures required to manufacture and assemble cables/harnesses, magnetics, electro/mechanical sub-assemblies, assemblies, and systems.
  • Understanding and experience to design assembly aids and tooling/fixtures.
  • Experience with manufacturing tools and equipment.
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation, such as digital multimeters.
  • Has a working knowledge of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Has a working knowledge in 2D and 3D modeling using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.

  • Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity
  • Assembly experience on electromechanical assemblies, including cable assemblies
  • Smart Tools Familiarity

Responsibilities

  • Support Manufacturing operations to maintain highest level of productivity and quality possible.
  • Evaluate, develop, and maintain methods to produce and assemble high tech electro-mechanical products, under engineering guidance.
  • Assist in the implementation of processes required to assemble electro/mechanical sub-assemblies, assemblies, and systems safely and to reduce cost, improve Quality and schedule.
  • Collect and evaluate operating data to conduct adjustments to processes, instruments, or equipment.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering and manufacturing to resolve production problems to meet the production schedule.
  • Assist with design and/or recommendations of equipment, assembly aids and tooling/fixtures required to manufacture products.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
