Manufacturing Test Engineering at Kestra Medical will use all your engineering, project management, and creative skills. The manufacturing test processes used at our Suppliers utilize a combination of custom and off-the-shelf hardware, software, and creative methods to assure the quality of every Kestra product meets all requirements. This position is considered a key contributor in the Test Engineering Team at Kestra. The role collaborates with Research & Development team members and external Suppliers to develop manufacturing test requirements and work instructions, test fixture hardware and software design, and to execute implementation strategies that ensure products meet functional requirements before shipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, electrical or electro-mechanical engineering
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to perform collaboratively within a team

Nice To Haves

  • Python programming experience or other similar programming languages
  • Experience in electrical engineering, software development and design
  • Experience with National Instruments’ Test Stand, LabView, and/or Tera Term script development
  • Experience with Fluke® Defibrillator Analyzers and AED Testers
  • Experience with product/tester certificate deployment
  • Experience with Linux OS

Responsibilities

  • Reviews product requirements documents and derives essential manufacturing test specifications for medical devices.
  • Works closely with development engineering to define test requirements and limits that are appropriate for sub-tier, and final system tests.
  • Develops manufacturing test strategies and requirements for the manufacture, reconditioning, and service of medical devices.
  • Develops manufacturing test process validation plans, protocols and reports.
  • Works with suppliers and contract manufacturers to integrate and/or update test systems into their manufacturing process.
  • Interacts capably with all levels and functional areas of the Kestra Medical Technologies organization.
