About The Position

Heidtman Steel Products is seeking a highly skilled Margin and Supply Chain Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing margin and risk by analyzing inventory positions, supply chains, and market dynamics. You will be responsible for reviewing inventory needs at the PPS level to result in buy requisitions, rationalizing sales pricing programs, future market pricing, mill contract, and discount programs, hedge alignment, and spot buy opportunities. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management or a similar field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detailed knowledge of sales pricing programs
  • Understanding of market conditions and mill pricing programs
  • Understanding on supply chain, internal and external processing capabilities.
  • Steel knowledge relative to grade, mechanical specifications, coating weights, and other material characteristics.

Responsibilities

  • Manage margin and risk through analysis of inventory positions, supply chains, and market dynamics
  • Review inventory needs at the PPS level to result in buy requisitions
  • Rationalize sales pricing programs, future market pricing, mill contract, and discount programs
  • Align and manage financially hedged programs
  • Identify and manage spot buy opportunities to maximize profitability
  • Collaborate with Material Managers to maximize inventory and margin
  • Other duties as assigned
