About The Position

White Elephant Resorts is seeking a skilled and dependable Marine & Infrastructure Electrician to join our Boat Basin team seasonally. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems within a marine boat basin environment during operation between May 21st and September 24th. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in both marine and general electrical systems and demonstrate a proactive approach to safety, code compliance, and operational efficiency. Housing available

Requirements

  • Licensed Electrician (Journeyman or Master, depending on jurisdiction requirements).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in electrical work, with at least 1 year in a marine or industrial setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of marine electrical systems, including single-phase and three-phase power.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to work outdoors, in confined spaces, and occasionally at heights or over water.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair marine shore power systems, dockside electrical connections, lighting, and associated controls during operating season.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance and inspections on electrical infrastructure across the Boat Basin.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults with boat basin equipment and system outages promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards (NEC, NFPA, ABYC, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and service reports.
  • Monitor electrical loads and ensure safe and efficient energy use throughout the facility.
  • Monitor electrical inventory levels and communicate with department management for reordering.
  • Support emergency response efforts related to electrical systems or facility operations.
