Job Summary:
As a Marine Diesel Mechanic, you’ll be part of a skilled team that keeps high-performance vessels running at their best. This is an opportunity to work on top-tier brands like Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Cummins, Caterpillar, and Hamilton Water Jets. The ideal candidate will be skilled in marine mechanical systems, diagnostic software, and troubleshooting methods. Requirements

• Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience in marine mechanics or related fields.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
• Certifications: ABYC certification (preferred). Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Pre-Employment: All applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with diagnostic software, hand and power tools.
• Experience installing marine mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of onboard plumbing systems, hydraulic system installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Ability to write condition reports, prepare estimates, and plan projects.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics: Use OEM software, tools, and technologies to maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and complete repairs.
• Repairs: Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls.
• Product Lines: Must be comfortable working on all boat systems; Hamilton water jets, Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Cummins, Caterpillar, or FPT engines.
• Safety Compliance: Performing all work to safety standards and guidelines.
• Other: All duties as assigned.
