About The Position

The Marine Technical Advisor serves as a key point of contact between Tiara Yachts, our dealers, and retail customers by providing expert technical support and solutions. This role involves diagnosing and resolving product issues, managing warranty claims, facilitating parts orders, and ensuring a world-class service experience that reflects Tiara’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Holland, Michigan, working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. We offer competitive pay, bonus incentives, paid holidays, paid vacation, and an attractive medical benefits package. Requirements

  • Prior experience in troubleshooting and repair of boat electrical and mechanical systems mandatory
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; a positive, solutions-focused mindset is essential.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing boat electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Solid understanding of AC/DC electrical theory, marine systems, and mechanical components.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • Familiarity with boating terminology, systems, and operations required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior customer service or technical support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical assistance to dealers and customers via phone, email, and written documentation.
  • Research, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical and mechanical issues as needed.
  • Process parts orders from dealers, service providers, and retail customers through multiple communication channels.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all dealer and customer interactions.
  • Evaluate and process warranty claims promptly and professionally.
  • Authorize and coordinate warranty repairs performed by Tiara or authorized non-Tiara dealers.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to facilitate field repairs on their products.
  • Communicate quality and service-related feedback to internal departments and assist in problem resolution.
  • Participate in Tiara Tech and dealer training events as needed.
  • Mentor dealer service departments.
