About The Position

This is a temporary position. This role is based in Chicago and will support hotels in Chicago, onsite, 5 days per week. Manages various department activities as related to the Americas property infrastructure compliance and related services and tools. Works in partnership with Market iT and Global iT for compliance and specific programs/initiatives. Executes the technology services delivery offered as part of Americas Technology and Professional Services to all managed hotels in the Americas across all brands. Understands technology designs, compute, storage and networking in multiple platforms and environments. Executes infrastructure rollouts and/or other project management initiatives. Serves as an IT escalation point for both internal and external stakeholders. Establishes strong rapport with Corporate IT partners, along with Regional IT VP’s to ensure market needs are met. Responsibilities will focus on Property Infrastructure, Backup Solution Management, Security, and overall compliance of property deployed technologies. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education or Certification • Minimum of 3 years previous Information Technology experience. Preferably within the hospitality industry at a major hotel chain. • Technical degree (BS or MS in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering or other like degree) or equivalent technical experience. Experience and Skills • In depth knowledge of Networking and Server/Desktop Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows based Operating System) • Strong understanding of local property technical configurations and the impact on operations. • Passion for technology and the ability to use technology to add business value. • Ability to prioritize and independently manage time in a remote work environment. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence others to take action. • Proven leadership skills and experience building solid relationships with clients and vendors. • Ability to coach and develop associates with minimal guidance. • Possess strong thinking/analytical skills which can be applied to business processes with a "can-do" attitude • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities • Three years’ experience with a demonstrated track record in providing support of applications, hardware, and operating systems. • Ability to travel (approximately 10%) EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS • Demonstrates continuous improvement through metrics of quality consistency and client satisfaction • Provides Tier 2 support to IT Field personnel for Property Server Infrastructure. • Manages, maintains, and supports the tools utilized to provide Property Technology Services • Participates in the evaluation of new support tools and solutions to determine feasibility for adoption in Property Server Infrastructure Services program. • Drives guidelines and governance requirements for change control, configuration management, security controls and services delivery. • Strategizes optimal solutions for by coordinating options with IT Delivery, vendors, and Americas IT Leadership. • Provides guidance and recommendations for server infrastructure designs that adopt industry best practices and meet the ongoing security and operational needs of the Americas. • Works closely with Regional and Area Directors to ensure maximum performance and reliability of property-based systems, • Promotes and provides guidance on the benefits of Americas Technology Services to the organization. • Provides educational direction to Accenture, Service Desk and Field Services organizations in core technologies as required. • Acts as point of escalation for Leadership and Security team to deal with critical incidents. • Provides consultation services for Leadership, project teams, and field teams to identify improved operational conditions and processes to address evolving needs • Performs root cause analysis after outages or incidents, reporting to management ways in which the organization can minimize future risk and exposure. • Ensures that documentation for property technology environment is maintained according to iT standards for Americas Technology Services. • Develops, adopts, and maintains best practice guidelines for field services personnel. • Reviews configuration requirements for new property based technical solutions to ensure existing security and compliance requirements are met.
