Job Description
Aerotek has an immediate opening for a Marketing Analyst at the corporate office in Hanover, MD.
Job Summary: The Marketing Analyst will serve as the primary subject matter expert for all marketing analytics. He or she will develop appropriate data models, reporting, measurement strategies, and analysis process to provide insights into campaign strategy, performance, and ROI. This role will partner with operations to ensure all platforms, analytics tools and other data sources are interconnected and providing the most accurate data. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in digital marketing metrics and have the ability to relate those metrics back to company KPIs and overall performance.
Essential Functions:
* Serve as the department's liaison with BI and become the subject-matter expert for all analytics tools, platforms and proprietary company data sources. He or she will own these relationships and tools.
* Provide insights and recommendations for marketing campaign strategy and optimizations, based on marketing analytics data including: digital marketing campaigns, media mix, campaign timing etc.
* Manage configuration, implementation, and administration of web analytics data collection using Google and Omniture analytics products such as GTM and/or DTM and other tools used across the organization.
* Help design, develop, and maintain a centralized repository for marketing data through the use of relational databases and ETL tools.
* Create a consistent marketing-wide reporting package to include both digital and traditional channels.
* Ensure that all digital customer interactions are trackable and measurable to support reporting and optimization; define data collection requirements and recommend methods to achieve defined goals.
* Identify and rectify any data inaccuracies or anomalies that may arise and notify appropriate team members and executives of these issues.
* Partner with IS to identify opportunities to improve marketing operations functions such as Sales Force lead tracking, job board data acquisition, API integration, etc.
* Provide regular and ad-hoc marketing results presentations for leadership.
Minimum Education/Abilities/Skills:
* Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience in a marketing analyst role for a corporation.
* Expert experience in Salesforce, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics (Certification is preferred).
* Fundamental experience writing SQL and understanding of Oracle and SQL Server databases.
* Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (Management Studio, Integration Services, Reporting Services) is a plus.
* Strong experience in pulling data from multiple marketing platforms such as Facebook, Google AdWords, and email platforms either through bulk downloads or APIs.
* Expert experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access)
* Thorough knowledge of digital marketing channels, their KPI's, and how they drive customer behaviors.
* Expert analytical skills that can translate data into actionable items and recommendations for the team.
* Ability to take data and present it in a visual manner through charts and graphs.
* Self-motivated and detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines both as an individual contributor and support team member.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of an organization.
