Job Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing, this position will develop and implement strategy for targeted marketing campaigns and is responsible for data extraction, list or lead generation, and evaluating effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Special emphasis will be placed on email and automated marketing. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The ideal candidate is a data-driven marketer who is passionate about delivering business performance, thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance organization and excels in online and email marketing.

This position will be responsible for all aspects of developing, optimizing and implementing automated and ad-hoc email campaigns that are aimed at increasing growth, revenue and customer engagement. This requires familiarity with funnel management, modern email marketing techniques and the ability to brainstorm around message strategies and topics.

The Digital Marketing Manager will manage the ongoing email marketing campaigns; consisting of scheduled campaigns and one-off emails as needs arise. This role will participate in the creation of automated and dynamic emails. This position will also coordinate with Sales and IT to ensure the data needed for successful email campaigns are available and accessible, contribute to the development of other marketing deliverables such as landing pages and assist with other marketing as necessary.

Responsibilities and Duties:

* Manage relationships with digital marketing product providers
* Ability to quickly learn both technical and non-technical skills to efficiently execute on business initiatives
* Take on new email marketing initiatives as the business grows and needs arise
* Work closely with cross-functional teams SEO, Advertising, Marketing, Creative to optimize conversions with relevant and targeted content and landing pages
* Gather requirements to plan, implement and analyze online marketing initiatives across multiple online channels and for multiple clients
* Formulate and execute end-to-end campaign plans with specific goals, strategies, tactics and measurement
* Stay current with email marketing best practices, strategies and industry standards as to ensure that all campaigns maximize deliverability, frequency, measurement and content, and are in compliance with regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM and CASL)
* Meet deadlines, balance multiple projects, proactively communicate delivery and mitigate issues
* Work with Digital Production and CRM teams to determine the email segmentation strategy and to groom lists to improve list quality and performance
* Drive execution and continuous optimization of email marketing campaign performance
* Work with Digital Marketing Production on the development and deployment of emails including planning, targeting, segmentation, scheduling, set-up, testing and sends.
* Review and edit email content, with support from marketing and creative staff
* Build and maintain email and campaign planning calendar
* Setup and deploy A/B testing, devise strategies and scenarios to test email content, subject headings, send times, frequency, offers and preferred product profiles to group subscribers to better segment the database with a focus on creating data-driven campaigns
* Monitor campaigns to ensure consistency across all major email providers and clients
* Create email reports and dashboards that analyze campaign performance in order to provide actionable recommendations and deliver continuous improvements to our email programs and their impact on ROI and KPIs.
* Provide Daily/Weekly/Monthly campaign performance reporting leveraging data from all relevant sources including deliverability, opens, and clicks and use results drive future action and provide actionable insights and improve email campaign content/performance
* Analyze current email marketing campaigns and make recommendations for improvement.

Educational Requirements and Qualifications:

* One to three years of marketing analytics and email marketing experience and a familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
* Undergraduate degree required, MBA a plus
* Expertise in data-driven marketing, customer segmentation and online marketing
* Experience identifying and interpreting key performance indicators to optimize lifecycle management, email messaging, promotional opportunities and campaign design
* Extensive experience with Marketo or comparable product
* Strong analytical and data skills, with extensive knowledge of Excel and CRM (Salesforce) reporting, campaigns and dashboards
* Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and table-based layouts, as well as responsive design
* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications
* Understanding of best practices, legal requirements and ethical standards in the email marketing
* Strong organizational, multi-tasking and project management skills with excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment
* Creative, with excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills skills
* Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns, a plus
* Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, WebTrends) and SEO/SEM, a plus
