About The Position

The Marketing Assistant plays a key role in executing integrated marketing initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, support customer acquisition and retention, and drive retail and commercial growth. This position supports digital marketing, content development, campaign execution, and event coordination while collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and community partners. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field required.
  • Previous experience in marketing, communications, digital media, or project coordination preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact or similar).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and website content management preferred.
  • Ability to create professional reports, spreadsheets, and business correspondence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and external partners.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • High level of proofreading and quality-control accuracy.
  • Understanding of digital marketing strategies, web technologies, and content optimization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds (marketing materials, event supplies).
  • Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events and deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and maintain knowledge of all bank products and services.
  • Valid driver’s license required for travel to branches, events, and vendors.
  • Ability to travel out of state (including air travel) for training or industry events as needed.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, flexibility, initiative, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and manage content for the company website, digital signage, electronic displays, email campaigns, social media platforms, and print marketing materials.
  • Ensure website content remains current, engaging, and optimized for SEO and AI-powered search visibility.
  • Assist with writing, editing, proofreading, and quality control of marketing content including web copy, emails, newsletters, advertisements, press releases, and promotional materials.
  • Monitor and distribute inbound inquiries generated through website forms and digital campaigns.
  • Support content planning and publishing schedules across digital channels.
  • Leverage AI-powered marketing tools to improve content creation, research efficiency, audience targeting, and campaign performance.
  • Assist with onboarding and coordinating third-party marketing vendors, including campaign setup, monthly reporting, and performance measurement.
  • Support the execution of marketing campaigns, promotions, and advertising initiatives.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, project trackers, timelines, and documentation to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with printers, designers, advertising agencies, freelancers, and media partners to manage creative assets and production deliverables.
  • Assist retail branch teams with customer outreach, prospecting initiatives, and local marketing efforts.
  • Assist with planning, logistics, and execution of community events, seminars, trade shows, internal meetings, and customer-facing programs.
  • Coordinate catered events such as luncheons, annual meetings, after-hours events, and educational seminars.
  • Support setup, teardown, signage, displays, and event materials.
  • Represent the organization at community events and trade shows as needed.
  • Meet weekly with the Vice President of Marketing to review priorities, project status, and upcoming initiatives.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and fulfillment vendors to monitor inventory and distribute marketing supplies to branches and departments.
  • Provide administrative and production support including scheduling, document preparation, pickups, and deliveries to vendors and branch locations.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, document meeting minutes, and distribute follow-up communications.
  • Perform general production tasks such as photocopying, assembling marketing packets, and preparing presentation materials.
