Marketing/Communications Intern/Co-op

About the position

We are looking for a Marketing/Communications Intern/Co-op to work part-time during the school year in our Brentwood, MO office. In this role you will gain first hand experience in creative approaches to problem-solving and make an impact within the marketing department. At ARCO, we recognize those who are results-oriented and take ownership of their projects, while also maintaining a positive, team-focused attitude. The internship program in ARCO's Communications Department is designed to provide hands-on on enterprise environments in a practical setting. Students get an opportunity to gain insight and meaningful experience and develop additional soft skills necessary while working at ARCO.

Responsibilities

• Design content for internal and external platforms and corporate communications
• Develop copy and graphics for social media
• Design website assets, emails, and other visual graphics leveraging brand guidelines
• Assist in designing collateral for monthly initiatives
• Assist in various production activities
• Manage design projects while meeting deadlines
• Performs other duties/projects as assigned

Requirements

• Portfolio required
• Currently enrolled and attending an accredited college/university studying Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field
• Detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset and excellent communication skills
• Skilled in Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator
• Strong eye for design best practices and ability to match brand aesthetic
• Understanding of digital marketing and social media channels
• Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department projects
