About The Position

Summer 2026 Internship: This position is located at our HQ in Durham, NC. Expected program dates are May 18 – August 7, 2026. Anticipated working hours will be 40 per week. Final hours and schedule will be determined between the intern and their manager. Note: Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions will not be providing visa sponsorship for this position now or in the future. Therefore, in order to be considered for this position, you must have the ability to work without a need for current or future visa sponsorship. Introduction: This role is open to undergraduate students currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, majoring in marketing, business, communications, or other similar major. The Corporate Communications & Events Intern supports internal communications, external event marketing, and corporate event execution. This role plays a key part in delivering timely internal messaging, supporting tradeshow logistics, coordinating internal and customer-facing events, and ensuring operational excellence across communications platforms and event production. This intern operates as a hands-on contributor, managing day-to-day communications workflows while also supporting high-visibility corporate initiatives, tradeshows, executive events, and headquarters programming.

Requirements

  • This role is open to undergraduate students currently enrolled in a four-year degree program, majoring in marketing, business, communications, or other similar degree.

  • Prior internship experience in a similar role ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Drive day-to-day internal communications, including reviewing, editing, formatting, and publishing content via FirstUp Studio.
  • Provide internal communications stakeholder support while processing requests submitted through the communications intake form.
  • Manage all HQ digital signage, including content creation, formatting, scheduling, and posting.
  • Assist with FirstUp platform management.
  • Support the Activities & Outreach Committee, including calendar coordination and event communications.
  • Support HQ events, ERG programming, and social activities through design, logistics, and onsite coordination.
  • Capture photo and video content at internal events.
  • Assist in all aspects of the marketing events team, planning events, working with stakeholders, event coordination and execution.
  • Assist with coordinating event collateral, event social media and marketing event emails.
  • Aggressively gather information on each project to achieve quality event execution.
  • Conduct research, assist on site visits and find resources to help the events team make decisions about event logistics.
  • Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process of internal departmental projects.
  • Must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities and meet deadlines.
  • May be needed to travel locally for assigned events.
