Construction of Buildings

About the position

At PCL, we build the places where life happens and find camaraderie in the process. We're a community of builders committed to building better communities. That's why we're always looking ahead, and not just to the next project or what's next in our industry. We're also looking at what's next for you and how we can help YOU build a career you're proud of. PCL is a dynamic organization that embraces innovation and continually looks ahead to what's next for our industry and employees. PCL California Buildings is seeking a talented Marketing Coordinator to make a real impact in the construction industry. As part of our team, you'll help shape the marketing strategy for our largest and fastest-growing region. Working alongside a dynamic group of creatives, builders, and executives, you'll craft compelling marketing collateral that speaks to our clients, colleagues, and community. From developing audience-specific content to creating innovative proposals, you'll play a critical role in advancing our business and reinforcing our brand.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to support pursuit strategies and storytelling that reinforce our brand and win work.
  • Assist in the planning and development of marketing materials that align with PCL's brand voice and visual identity across web, print, and social media.
  • Write clear, audience-specific copy that communicates our value and strengthens connection with clients, consultants, and colleagues.
  • Support the execution of proposal submissions and project marketing plans by organizing content and ensuring consistency in format and tone.
  • Provide detail-oriented proofreading and basic editing support to help polish marketing and proposal deliverables.
  • Develop social media content that resonates with industry audiences and builds brand visibility for California Buildings.
  • Participate in the planning and coordination of internal and external events, learning to manage logistics and communication details.
  • Learn to apply design thinking and branding principles in collaboration with creative and proposal teams.
  • Begin building fluency with our marketing systems and tools, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud, to support day-to-day deliverables.
  • Gain exposure to the marketing lifecycle-from kickoff to closeout-and build foundational experience in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Requirements

  • You want to make a big impact. You're curious, collaborative, and ready to learn.
  • You bring a strong foundation in marketing, communications, or design-and you're eager to apply it in a dynamic, real-world environment.
  • You have a knack for writing and can craft clear, compelling messages tailored to different audiences.
  • You're comfortable navigating creative tools like Adobe InDesign and Illustrator and know your way around Microsoft Office.
  • You understand that great marketing is both creative and strategic-and you're interested in growing your skills on both sides.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting where collaboration is key and every day is different.
  • You're detail-oriented and take pride in delivering polished, thoughtful work that reflects the brand and supports the team.
  • A degree or diploma in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field is preferred.
