About the position

The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in advancing the university’s mission through the development and execution of integrated marketing and communications strategies. This position supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of campaigns that promote programs, events, initiatives, and institutional priorities to diverse audiences, including prospective students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the broader Maryland community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • One (1) years of professional communications or marketing experience.
  • Knowledge of marketing.
  • Knowledge of project management.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
  • Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service and sensitivity to a culturally and ethnically diverse community.

Nice-to-haves

  • Four (4) years’ experience in marketing, communications, public relations or related fields.
  • Experience using project management platforms for cross-team collaboration.
  • Experience in a higher education or mission-driven environment.
  • Basic knowledge of design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics and reporting (Google Analytics, social media insights, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $62,500 - $75,000
