About the position

As a Business Analyst in our Partnerships and Affiliate Marketing team, you will play a critical role in supporting the success of our affiliate programs and partnerships. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, actively seeks out opportunities for improvement, and is eager to contribute to our team's success. In this role, you'll get to monitor and analyse performance, generate insights for campaign optimisation, develop and maintain dashboards, support partnership strategies, take initiative in problem-solving, collaborate internationally, and assist in conducting experiments.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and Analyse Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) across various channels, identifying trends, and communicating to the team any anomalies, and opportunities for optimisation.
  • Generate Insights for Campaign Optimisation: Assist in analysing data to provide insights that help improve campaign performance, ROI, and overall marketing effectiveness.
  • Develop and Maintain Dashboards: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of dashboards that provide real-time insights into program performance, making it easy for stakeholders to understand key metrics and trends.
  • Support Partnership Strategies: Work with business developers and learn about the effectiveness of different partnerships, contributing data-driven recommendations for future collaborations.
  • Take Initiative in Problem-Solving: Proactively identify issues or opportunities for optimisation and develop strategies that improve overall performance.
  • Collaborate Internationally: Work alongside marketing teams based in Shanghai and other global locations, ensuring that efforts align with broader marketing strategies and global business goals.
  • Assist in Conducting Experiments: Support the design and analysis of experiments to test new strategies, creatives, or partnership models, contributing to data-driven decisions.

Requirements

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to translate data findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Basic SQL Knowledge: Familiarity with SQL for querying and managing datasets is preferred, with a willingness to develop these skills further.
  • Experience with Data Analysis Tools: Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including functions, data manipulation, and pivot tables. Experience with tools like Python, R, or BigQuery is a plus, offering opportunities to engage in more complex data analysis and automation.
  • Basic Data Visualisation Experience: Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar for creating dashboards and visual reports, with opportunities to develop proficiency.
  • Interest in Partnerships and Affiliates: A strong curiosity and willingness to learn about affiliate marketing and partnership strategies, and how different factors affect our KPIs.
  • Proactive, Collaborative, and Solution-Oriented: A self-starter who takes initiative in identifying opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
