As the first U.S. publisher dedicated to art and illustrated books—and an industry leader in visual and narrative publishing—ABRAMS is seeking a Design Intern to join our Marketing Team as part of our Summer Internship Program commencing on June 2, 2026 Over the course of this immersive, unpaid program (offered for academic credit only), interns will gain meaningful insight into the world of book publishing while contributing to real projects that drive our business forward. You’ll learn alongside experienced professionals, develop practical skills in your area of interest, and participate in opportunities designed to broaden your understanding of the publishing industry. Our goal is to help prepare the next generation of publishing talent while fostering a passion for books, art, and culture. The Marketing Design Intern will work closely with the Marketing Designers on campaigns across the Adult and Children’s publishing list, promoting books ranging from popular children’s picture books and YA titles to high-end art books, award-winning graphic novels, adult commercial fiction, high-profile cookbooks, and the next nonfiction bestseller. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic designer and book lover with a passion for advertising and marketing design to join the Marketing team as a Summer Intern. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in marketing and advertising design while developing a deeper understanding of the publishing industry. Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited academic institution. This internship is not open to recent graduates.
