The Opportunity Perkins Rowe is seeking a creative, energetic, and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to join our team for the upcoming semester. This role offers hands-on experience in "placemaking" marketing, social media strategy, and large-scale event production within a vibrant retail and entertainment environment. Requirements

  • Education: Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior at an accredited university, majoring in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills; ability to maintain a professional yet "lifestyle-focused" brand voice.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Instagram/TikTok trends and features.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work 15–20 hours per week, including occasional evenings or weekends for special event execution.
  • Organization: A self-starter who can manage multiple small projects at once and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Canva or Adobe Spark is a major plus.

Responsibilities

  • Social Media Content Creation: Drafting and scheduling engaging posts across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Capturing on-site "street style" or "day in the life" photo and video content featuring our tenants and events.
  • Monitoring community engagement and responding to comments/messages.
  • Special Events & Activation: Assisting in the conceptualization and logistical planning of seasonal events (e.g., concert series, holiday markets).
  • Providing "boots on the ground" support during event days, including setup, vendor coordination, and live social coverage.
  • Tenant Relations & Asset Management: Liaising with retailers and restaurants to gather promotional info for the website and newsletter.
  • Ensuring on-site signage and digital directories are up-to-date.
  • Market Research & Reporting: Tracking digital analytics to see which content resonates most with our audience.
  • Staying on top of local trends and competitor activations in the Baton Rouge area.
