About the position

WACKER is a global chemical manufacturer that prides itself on 'Creating Tomorrow's Solutions'. We are looking for a Marketing Manager - Coatings and Engineered Fabrics to join our team in Allentown, PA. The Marketing Manager is accountable for delivering on the marketing responsibilities for the Coatings and Engineered Fabrics market segments within LNM. This includes aligning long-term strategic objectives across the market teams including achieving our revenue and profit targets within the NCA region. This individual is responsible for defining and executing the regional business strategy for the defined market segments that consistently links to the long-term global market strategies. Managing the key financial profitability metrics and positioning the portfolio for profitable top line growth will be leading indicators of success, in addition to supporting project or process implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver on profitability and revenue planning for the defined markets (BP1 - BP5), which includes effective product, customer and market share portfolio planning along with price/margin optimization analysis.
  • Develop and implement strategy within the defined markets while gaining alignment across the matrix business team.
  • Lead regional SKL/VKP five-year planning processes for the defined markets along with MARCOM planning, competitive assessments (MDB) and Market Development.
  • Lead for contract negotiation strategy, planning, and execution which includes select customer contracts.
  • Anticipate, understand and manage the impact of changes in the competitive environment, new technology, and downstream markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in preferably in a technical field required, Chemistry, Engineering.
  • 5-7 years in sales and marketing management or in a role that heavily interfaces-supports these functions.
  • Broad business background in sales, marketing, technology, commercial development, and supply chain functions.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time.
  • Experience operating in a highly matrixed global organization preferably in specialty chemical markets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with SAP business warehouse, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite of software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree desirable.
  • Knowledge of digitalization concepts and tools a plus.
  • Personnel and organization development and ability to manage within multi-cultural business settings.
