About the position

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Marketing Manager for Data Analytics is responsible for developing the marketing database and conducting research and analysis that delivers insights to improve company performance and support sales and service channels. An associate in this position is expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following competencies: Analytical/Business Acumen, Customer Focus, End to End Business Approach.

Responsibilities

  • Leads efforts to perform and complete primary market research to understand sources of growth and profitability
  • Conducts ongoing and ad-hoc analysis to support/drive marketing strategy
  • Uses statistical analysis to measure results of marketing campaigns
  • Leads analysis and implementation of annual price adjustment review
  • Designs and implements marketing databases
  • Develops targeted marketing campaigns and is responsible for data extraction, list or lead generation and evaluating effectiveness of marketing campaigns
  • Directs field resource activity quarterly to target desirable segments, products and prospective customers
  • Analyzes and manages fleet routing and sales territory alignment using analytic software tools
  • Coordinates/monitors tactical marketing plans to identify and convert prospective customers
  • Manages analytic pricing model and evaluates field compliance and effectiveness

Requirements

  • Strong data management experience and analytical abilities
  • Demonstrated high proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledgeable with advanced statistical analysis and research methodologies
  • Experience with Access and Oracle databases a plus
  • Strong communication skills; demonstrated ability to form a narrative based on the data. Define the what and why.
  • Ability to work with in cross-functional teams (Marketing, Finance, IT, Field Operations, Sales)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience analyzing disparate sources of customer data to identify compelling new insights
  • Experience with B2B marketing, management consulting or marketing research
  • Demonstrates required discipline and organization skills to deliver on project plans and commitments
