About The Position

Our client is seeking a highly motivated, Malta-based Marketing Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing digital creative across multiple channels, with graphic design, video editing, and animation forming a core part of the role. The position also includes day-to-day marketing operations, such as coordinating third parties, managing requests, and ensuring deliverables remain on brand and ready for publication. The Marketing Officer will report directly to the Marketing Manager.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, Advertising, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in digital design, either in-house or within an agency environment.
  • Proven experience as a digital designer, supported by a portfolio demonstrating static, video, and motion work.
  • Strong video editing and motion design skills, including animation as part of regular output.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
  • Working knowledge of Figma and a solid understanding of UX/UI fundamentals.
  • Experience producing content for digital platforms such as LinkedIn, Google Ads, Meta, Instagram, TikTok, and similar channels.
  • A performance-driven mindset, with experience producing creative for performance marketing campaigns.
  • Experience coordinating agencies, freelancers, or external partners and ensuring deliverables meet clear quality standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple inputs and follow up effectively.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong file management and version control practices.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort working in a fintech, crypto, or payments environment, with familiarity in EMI or regulated services considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design digital content including graphics, images, videos, and motion assets that align with the client’s brand guidelines.
  • Produce assets for LinkedIn, paid placements, website sections, landing pages, blog visuals, email banners, event collateral, and sales materials.
  • Maintain templates and a reusable asset library to ensure output remains consistent and efficient.
  • Prepare exports correctly for each channel, including appropriate sizes, formats, compression, and version control.
  • Edit both short-form and long-form video for social and paid media, including cut-downs, captions, and multiple aspect ratios.
  • Create motion graphics and animations in After Effects to support campaigns, announcements, product explainers, and social content.
  • Deliver lightweight motion assets suitable for web performance when required.
  • Create and manage multiple creative variations for performance marketing, enabling testing of hooks, layouts, and formats.
  • Support concept development alongside the marketing team to meet campaign goals and performance targets.
  • Optimise creative for different platforms and placements to ensure clarity, brand consistency, and platform suitability.
  • Utilise AI tools where beneficial to support creative production while maintaining quality and brand standards.
  • Support UX and UI execution in Figma for marketing-led website sections and landing pages using existing components and layouts.
  • Coordinate with the website partner during implementation and conduct basic QA before pages go live, including responsiveness and visual checks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across growth, sales, and product teams to gather requirements and deliver design solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage the marketing request queue and maintain a simple tracker outlining tasks, ownership, and deadlines.
  • Prepare clear briefs for agencies and freelancers, gather requirements, and ensure deliverables are returned in the correct formats, sizes, and versions.
  • Coordinate feedback cycles to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Conduct quality checks on external output to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and channel requirements prior to publication.
  • Handle practical administration tasks such as file organisation, naming conventions, version control, and maintaining shared folders.
