About the position

First Commerce Bank is seeking a Marketing Associate to participate in the development of marketing campaign materials for all Bank products and services. The role involves assisting the Marketing Manager with developing and implementing marketing strategies to meet Bank objectives while ensuring the integrity of the Bank's branding. The Marketing Associate will also analyze new marketing developments, identify target customers, and support the review and design of promotional materials. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, along with a minimum of one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the development of marketing campaign materials for all Bank products and services.
  • Assists the Marketing Manager with developing and implementing marketing strategies to meet Bank objectives while ensuring integrity of the Bank's branding; monitors and reports progress made toward completion of these goals and objectives.
  • Assists in the development of the Bank's annual marketing plan - an integrated program that may include radio, print, outdoor, direct marketing, online marketing, point of sale marketing, and branch/community events - to achieve the Bank's strategic initiatives within designated budgets.
  • Assists the Marketing Manager with the development and implementation of Bank products and services goal objectives.
  • Analyzes new marketing developments which may be useful in the Bank's marketing plan.
  • Identifies target customers and market segments in order to properly position products in the marketplace.
  • Surveys and monitors competitor banks on a regular basis to gather information on interest rates for loans and deposits and information on their products and services; prepares and distributes this information as required.
  • Supports the review, design, and placement of promotional materials including print and digital advertising, signs, banners, posters, and postcards.
  • Promotes new branch openings.
  • Purchases and maintains inventory of giveaway items within budgeted guidelines per location/event.
  • Represents the Bank at various community, business, and educational functions to develop an awareness of the Bank's services, and to strengthen the Bank's image.
  • Maintains Bank's website and Social Media posts.
  • Abide by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
  • Coordinate specific work tasks with other personnel within all departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
  • Cooperate with, participate in and support the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate with management and staff personnel in order to integrate goals and activities.
  • Respond to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from other Bank personnel, customers, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
  • Maintain appropriate records and provide assigned reports.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of related experience required.
  • Thorough marketing knowledge and ability to market all bank products.
  • Working knowledge of bank's products, services, customers, and entities (including geographic locations).
  • Working knowledge of bank policies and related regulations concerning the marketing function.
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, grammar and mathematics).
  • Interpersonal relations and communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Project/time management skills.
  • PC skills (including Microsoft Office, Excel-formatting spreadsheets and marketing software).
  • Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Visual and auditory skills.
