Job Description
* Acts as the Personal Lines Operations' field liaison with agency partners, regularly contacting and visiting agencies
* Guides agencies and the operation in servicing existing business by securing underwriting information, explaining coverages, premiums, and claim decisions
* Monitors agency performance for production growth, profitability, business mix and retention
* Collaborates with agencies to develop specific business plans which outline performance goals and strategies, and address key issues within the partnership
* Evaluates market conditions and when appropriate, recommends changes in agency representation within an assigned territory
* Promotes personal lines products to agencies
Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
* Bachelors degree (preferably in marketing or business) or equivalent work experience
* Three years of experience in property and casualty insurance industry or a related field
* Insurance-related designations preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Good knowledge of property and casualty insurance
* Good understanding of independent agency operations
* Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office Suite
* Excellent organizational and self-direction skills
* Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and human relations skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Travel required; a valid drivers license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards required if traveling
