About The Position

Join the team at Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa as Marketing & Social Media Manager, where rich Sonoma heritage, wellness traditions, and curated luxury come together to inspire every touchpoint. You’ll help ensure the resort remains the premier, top‑of‑mind destination for travelers experiencing Sonoma’s wine country. What you will be doing: Reporting to the Director, Sales & Marketing, and in partnership with the Senior Marketing Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality marketing, brand communications, or lifestyle content creation required
  • Proficient in social media management and creative content tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite preferred)
  • Strong visual sensibility and understanding of hospitality guest touchpoints
  • Exceptional organizational skills and comfort with cross-departmental coordination
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and variable hours as business needs require

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Fairmont and Accor branding standards an asset
  • Degree or diploma in hospitality, business, or wellness-related field is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Drive the brand voice and ensure consistent, on-brand communication across all guest-facing channels
  • Lead social media strategy, content creation, and daily channel management to build awareness, engagement, and conversion
  • Manage content and create interactive buzz across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and partner platforms, ensuring timely and relevant updates
  • Oversee content planning and publishing using Later (or similar), optimizing scheduling, asset organization, analytics, and influencer strategy
  • Plan and implement guest-facing activations, local partnerships, and on property promotions across the Hotel to enrich the guest experience
  • Develop a wide range of branded print and digital collateral, including menus, signage, welcome cards, and in-room materials
  • Maintain digital signage, reader boards, and on-site messaging platforms to reflect current offerings, events, and resort highlights
  • Review internal and external creative materials to uphold brand alignment and maintain a polished, cohesive presentation
  • Publish dynamic content across partner platforms including Weddings, Cvent, Sonoma County Tourism, Sonoma Visitors Bureau, and Yelp
  • Support colleague communication initiatives and employee-facing marketing efforts
  • Respond to guest reviews across Google, TripAdvisor, Yelp, and other platforms with professionalism and brand-aligned tone
  • Coordinate itineraries, reservations, amenities, and departmental communication for incoming media, ensuring a seamless hosted-stay experience
  • Track all hosted media and maintain accurate records of coverage and visits
  • Direct short-form video production and collaborate with internal teams and creators to capture trending, high-quality, brand-aligned content
  • Assist with photo and video shoots and liaise with key departments
  • Serve as an on-property spokesperson for community relations, media interactions, and hotel committees when senior marketing leaders are unavailable
  • Other duties as assigned
