About the position

The Marketing Specialist will develop and execute marketing campaigns, create compelling content on all platforms, and support community engagement efforts specifically tailored for the Georgia BRIGHT Solar for All (SFA) program. This role requires creativity, strong communication skills, and a passion for sustainability and clean energy solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal Marketing & Communications and 3rd party Marketing vendor to implement marketing strategies and campaigns focused on solar and renewable energy markets
  • Create high-quality content for websites, blogs, social media, email marketing, white papers, case studies, flyers and other marketing materials
  • Collaborate on digital marketing activities, including SEO, SEM, PPC, and analytics to optimize performance
  • Coordinate and assist with the execution of events, webinars, and other Georgia BRIGHT SFA engagements
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external teams to ensure messaging aligns with company offerings and market demands
  • Develop and manage event marketing for large and hyperlocal events throughout the state
  • Manage marketing collateral and brand assets to maintain consistency and quality
  • Monitor and report on marketing performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Additional duties as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 2+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the solar, renewable energy, or broader energy industry
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy concepts, technologies, and market trends
  • Strong experience with social media platforms and building engaging content
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Google Analytics, social media management tools, WordPress, CRM systems)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Team-oriented with a proactive, self-starter attitude
  • Graphic design experience in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design software

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in B2B marketing within the solar or energy sector
  • Data analysis skills for measuring marketing performance
  • Understanding of Georgia’s landscape with a focus on various marketing segments and solar energy personas

  • Annual salary of up to $60,000 commensurate with experience
