The Marketing Specialist is responsible for collaborating with other marketing and communications professionals to plan and execute marketing and communication projects that drive member acquisition, program enrollment, and brand awareness.
Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and execution of marketing and communication campaigns and projects, including email marketing, content marketing, social media, print materials, and paid advertising
Review and report on campaign efficacy by tracking and analyzing conversions, pageviews, engagement, and other key metrics of success
Collaborate with content creators to publish and maintain content on seattleymca.org
Manage content and marketing asset distribution across multiple channels
Provide copywriting for marketing assets, including online content, email, social media posts, and program descriptions, including SEO keyword research
Understand YMCA brand and style guide standards, and adjust marketing assets as necessary to align
Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media efforts with overall marketing campaigns and objectives
Create, curate, and manage content for social media channels, including text, images, videos, and other multimedia formats
Engage with social media followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a positive community around the brand
Collaborate across service teams with regular check-ins and status updates to maintain schedule integrity throughout the lifecycle of a project
Support request tracking system
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, management, or related field or equivalent experience
Experience with issue/request tracking and project management systems such as Asana or FreshService
Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences
Familiarity with Google Analytics
Project management experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Nice-to-haves
Knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.)
Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful
Experience with the YMCA or other non-profit organization
