About The Position

We’re looking for a creative, organized, and outgoing Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. If you love social media, enjoy being behind (and in front of) the camera, and have a passion for creating content that sparks connection, we want to meet you.

Requirements

  • Strong photo and video editing skills
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Experience managing Instagram and TikTok for a brand, organization, or significant personal account
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom
  • A portfolio demonstrating your photo/video editing and Adobe work is required to be considered

  • Naturally comfortable on camera and confident approaching strangers for interviews or content
  • Energized by being around people and genuinely excited about student life
  • Strong writer
  • Highly organized with strong time management and communication skills
  • Available and enthusiastic to attend resident events, typically on weekday evenings
  • Physically able to assist with event setup and breakdown, including lifting and transporting equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in property management, student housing, or hospitality
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Hospitality preferred; current students actively pursuing a related field are welcome to apply for part-time consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director to build a cohesive strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and Facebook
  • Own the content calendar (planning, scheduling, and publishing with consistency and intention)
  • Actively engage with our audience in comment sections and DMs to build relationships and brand loyalty
  • Track platform performance weekly and translate data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Content Creation & Brand Storytelling
  • Capture and edit high-quality photo and video content that showcases our communities and residents using photo, live video, stories, graphics, polls, etc.
  • Write fun, authentic captions that drive engagement and reflect our brand voice
  • Collaborate with other departments to tell great stories and promote events
  • Maintain and organize our growing digital asset library
  • Resident Event Planning
  • Create and manage a fun, on-brand resident event calendar
  • Lead pre-event creative planning sessions
  • Develop Event Operations Plans including budgets, layouts, staffing, and post-event recaps/surveys
  • Attend and capture content at all Arena Group events and social activations
  • Trendspotting & Research
  • Stay ahead of social media trends, especially on TikTok and Instagram
  • Identify content we can remix, respond to, or share with our audience
  • Regularly pitch fresh ideas for content and campaigns
  • “Surprise & Delight” Campaigns
  • Plan and execute creative activations: giveaways, scavenger hunts, pop-ups, and other high-energy community moments
  • Build partnerships with local businesses for co-branded promotions that align with our values
