About The Position

Camping World is seeking a Marketing Technology Engineer with deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and system connectivity across the MarTech stack to work on our Good Sam team. This contractor will report directly to the Director of CRM, working in daily communication with our CRM/MarTech team. The successful candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment, consistently producing accurate, high-quality deliverables at speed. Attention to detail, disciplined testing, and accountability are non-negotiable. We also value clear communication and a collaborative attitude. You’ll be working closely with other teams, so being able to explain your work and adapt to feedback is just as important as the code you write. This is not a “learn as you go” assignment, we need a contractor who can immediately contribute, push projects forward quickly, and maintain the highest standard of quality. Scope of Work SFMC Automation & Journey Development Design, configure, and maintain advanced SFMC automations in Automation Studio, Contact Builder, and SQL-based workflows. Build advanced, dynamic Journey Builder programs that are scalable, flexible, and rigorously tested. Optimize audience logic, personalization, and triggered sends for performance and reliability. System Connectivity & Data Flows Enable seamless data integrations between SFMC, Snowflake, and other enterprise systems via APIs, SFTP, and data connectors. Maintain and evolve data mapping logic to ensure accuracy and consistency across all platforms. Monitor data pipelines for breaks, latency, or quality drops, and resolve issues quickly. Data Quality & Testing Test everything: build rigorous test plans, validate data accuracy, and document repeatable QA steps. Run UAT and regression testing to deliver zero-defect deployments. Implement alerting, monitoring, and troubleshooting processes for critical automations and journeys. Documentation & Collaboration Create and maintain clear, precise documentation of automations, data workflows, and journeys. Provide daily progress updates and proactively surface risks or blockers. Work as a team player: communicate openly with MarTech, Data Engineering, IT, and CRM teams to keep projects aligned and moving. undefined

Requirements

  • 5+ years advanced SFMC development: Automation Studio, Journey Builder, SQL, AMPscript, complex audience logic.
  • Proven experience designing and maintaining system integrations between SFMC and external platforms.
  • Strong SQL and scripting skills for building and troubleshooting marketing workflows.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or similar data warehouses.
  • Proven experience with creating SFMC templates (HTML/CSS) and using AMP-script for personalization
  • Meticulous QA discipline: validated, production-ready work is expected every time.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with REST APIs and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with consent and compliance logic in marketing systems.
  • Exposure to enterprise campaign orchestration and automated testing tools.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer certification
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certification
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Admin certification
