THE ROLE Avocado is currently looking for a Marketplace & Growth Initiatives Manager to be part of the Sales Operations team. This role reports directly to the VP of Sales Operations. This role is the primary owner of Avocado’s Amazon business operations and cadence, responsible for day-to-day execution, cross-functional coordination, risk management, and performance tracking. The majority of this role will be dedicated to the Amazon business, with additional support for systems integration (including Intercom), documentation, and special operational initiatives as needed. This role requires strong operational judgment, project management discipline, and comfort operating across sales, finance, CX, marketing, and production teams. Note on Location: Here at Avocado Green Brands, we treasure teamwork and working together in person. You will be working on-site at one of our Fullerton Production locations. Note on Pay Transparency: The paygrade for this role is $90,000.00-$112,500.00 Yearly DOE. Most candidates with knowledge, skills, and ability will have a starting pay in that range.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in operations, e-commerce, marketplace management, or project management.
  • Strong familiarity with Amazon Seller Central and marketplace operations.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and execution-focused mindset.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Own ongoing monitoring of Amazon account health, policy exposure, and operational risk.
  • Track and escalate risks related to account health, listing compliance, Buy Box stability, and policy violations.
  • Support cross-functional leadership communication related to Amazon performance, risks, and priorities.
  • Partner with Sales Operations and Finance on Amazon-related insights and decision support.
  • Track daily Amazon sales performance by SKU and ASIN.
  • Monitor weekly performance metrics including conversion, AOV, refunds, and cancellations.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and surface insights to leadership.
  • Maintain Seller Central reporting and internal dashboards to ensure visibility and accountability.
  • Own monthly 30/60/90-day demand forecasting by SKU in partnership with Operations and external partners.
  • Support reforecasting based on sell-through, inventory levels, and promotional activity.
  • Assist with capacity planning for Amazon growth and expansion.
  • Monitor FBA inventory levels, inbound shipments, reserved units, and sell-through on a daily basis.
  • Identify stockout and overstock risks and coordinate mitigation plans.
  • Review Amazon storage fees, aging inventory, and cost exposure on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor Buy Box ownership daily and escalate risks or changes.
  • Support promotional planning, coupon execution, and deal cadence.
  • Review promotional impact on margin and performance metrics in partnership with Sales Operations.
  • Act as internal owner and liaison for Amazon advertising efforts managed by external agencies.
  • Monitor campaign performance, ROAS, and budget pacing.
  • Ensure advertising strategy aligns with inventory levels, promotions, and business priorities.
  • Monitor Amazon reviews and buyer messaging in partnership with the CX team.
  • Track Amazon-specific return reasons and rates and identify trends.
  • Share CX insights with Sales, CX, Product, and Operations teams on a regular cadence.
  • Own rollout and expansion of the Amazon Transparency Program across eligible SKUs.
  • Coordinate Transparency enrollment, code generation, and dashboard monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with Transparency requirements and escalation of alerts or issues.
  • Support future SKU expansion into the Transparency program.
  • Monitor Amazon account health metrics daily.
  • Coordinate response to warnings, violations, and appeals in partnership with internal teams and external support.
  • Support Brand Registry management and IP protection efforts.
  • Maintain SOPs, documentation, and training materials related to Amazon operations.
  • Support recurring syncs with Operations, Finance, and CX teams related to Amazon performance.
  • Lead or support systems integration work (including Intercom tracking and workflows) tied to Amazon activity.
  • Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned by the VP of Sales Operations.
