As part of the in-house creative team, a copywriter is responsible for writing innovative and strategically driven copy and translating it into compelling, on-brand creative for Marshalls. Using proven talent and consistent strategic and conceptual thinking, he/she/they will communicate our brand message in a fresh, forward-thinking way.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of related work experience in house or at external agency.
  • BA in English, Communications, or similar degree or equivalent experience.
  • An amazing online portfolio of your work (this one’s non-negotiable) – please make sure to include your portfolio in your application!
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with changing demands
  • Ability to take a creative brief and complete thoughtful, compelling creative based on objectives.
  • Proven ability to effectively share ideas with team, clients, and/or more senior creative team members.
  • Feels comfortable working in a fast-paced, quick-turn work environment.
  • Remain current on industry trends and standard processes.
  • Strong conceptual skills.
  • Previous experience working in digital and/or retail space.
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills
  • Passion for fashion
  • This position is hybrid requiring at least two days per week in the Framingham, MA office and is not open to remote.

Responsibilities

  • With supervision and direction from ACDs, you’ll partner with designers to conceive and complete retail, email, site, and social copy consistent with the agreed upon strategies and in accordance with brand guidelines and TOV.
  • Help to develop creative ideas based on input and data-driven results from brand marketing team.
  • Partner with ACD, senior writers, designers, and project managers to effectively meet project objectives, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Implement and maintain strong relationships with fellow creative team members and brand team partners.
