As a Massage Therapist Chiropractic Assistant, you will play a key role in this mission by providing a range of therapies including deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point, pregnancy and postpartum, acupressure, and reflexology while also assisting with chiropractic care. This dual role position may involve working across up to three locations weekly and offers a unique opportunity to apply a holistic approach to patient care, contributing to improved treatment outcomes and enhanced quality of life. This position offers comprehensive benefits, including coverage for license renewal and continuing education expenses up to $500 per year. A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. This position may involve floating between three locations on a weekly basis.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Graduate of an accredited Massage Therapy Training Program
Current licensure as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) by the state of Ohio
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
One year of experience providing massage services or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience

Nice To Haves

Experience working in the medical and/or health care field
Medical Massage background
Certified in Prenatal Massages and/or Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Cupping knowledge

Responsibilities

Administer therapeutic massage and bodywork modalities, including techniques that provide deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point, stretching, pregnancy/post-partum massage, acupressure, reflexology and hydrotherapy for Chiropractic patients.
Administer therapeutic services, including electrical stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, and stretching and strengthening activities (Under the direction of the chiropractic physician).
Work within the Scope of Practice as a Licensed Massage Therapist and an Unlicensed Supportive Personnel under the Ohio Revised Code
Interview patients to determine medical history, condition, desired results and appropriate modality.
Monitors patient's responses to treatment and adjusts, changes, or terminates treatment based on feedback.
Document patient information, interview responses, treatments, feedback, and results.
Maintain therapy area in a clean, safe, sterile and Organizational state.
Assist patients to safely perform activities related to the development of strength and endurance.
