About The Position

G1 Facility Services is a leading facility maintenance and construction provider, proudly serving customers nationally. We support varied industries, including Aviation, Food Services, and Hospitality. With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to welcome a highly skilled and licensed Master Electrician to our dynamic Newark, New Jersey team. $15,000 Sign-on Bonus! Eligible new hires may qualify for a sign-on bonus after completing the first 180 days of employment. Full time status (40 hours) Position Overview The successful candidate will have extensive experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical systems be responsible for overseeing and leading electrical projects, ensuring that installations and repairs are carried out to code, and providing guidance and supervision to junior electricians.

Requirements

  • Valid New Jersey Master Electrician License with a minimum of 10 years of proven experience in a Master Electrician capacity.
  • Must be able to obtain and/or pull permits as required for company and business purposes.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and all applicable codes and standards.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate a team effectively.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Physically capable of working in various environments, including at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subjected to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute electrical projects from start to finish in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes.
  • Supervise, lead, and mentor electricians and apprentices to ensure quality workmanship and professional development.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation of all work performed.
  • Inspect electrical components, including transformers, panels, switch-gear, and circuit breakers.
  • Identify electrical problems using appropriate testing devices and tools.
  • Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Collaborate with management, engineers, and contractors on electrical projects.
