About The Position

The Master Level Clinician reports to the Clinical Supervisor of Clinical & Behavioral Services and is responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavior Support (PBS) services for individuals supported in Day and Residential programs. This role emphasizes functional assessment, data-driven decision-making, staff coaching, and systems-level behavior support to improve quality of life and meaningful outcomes. The Clinician works collaboratively with individuals, families, direct support professionals, and interdisciplinary teams. This is a salaried, exempt position.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Experience conducting FBAs and developing PBSPs for individuals with autism and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and supervising ABA-based interventions.
  • BCBA, BCaBA, or eligibility for certification preferred.
  • Strong skills in behavioral data analysis and staff coaching.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care integrated within behavior analytic practice.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and availability by telephone.
  • Employee must possess the knowledge; skills and abilities listed above, and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job. Employee must be able to speak, read and write in fluent English.

Responsibilities

  • Behavioral Assessment and Evaluation
  • Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), including record review, direct observation, data analysis, and stakeholder interviews.
  • Identify environmental variables, skill deficits, motivating operations, and maintaining consequences influencing behavior.
  • Utilize trauma-informed and person-centered assessment practices while maintaining fidelity to ABA principles.
  • Review and analyze behavioral, clinical, and programmatic data to inform assessment outcomes and treatment decisions.
  • Positive Behavior Support & Treatment Planning
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs) and behavior intervention plans based on FBA results.
  • Ensure plans emphasize prevention strategies, skill acquisition, reinforcement-based interventions, and least restrictive practices.
  • Integrate ABA strategies with clinical and trauma-informed considerations as appropriate.
  • Develop psychotropic medication treatment plans based on behavioral data and analysis related to target behaviors.
  • ABA Program Implementation and Oversight
  • Conduct programmatic site visits to complete direct observation, treatment fidelity checks, and data collection reviews.
  • Model ABA interventions in vivo and provide real-time coaching and performance-based feedback to staff.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of behavior support strategies across settings and shifts.
  • Adjust interventions based on ongoing data analysis and clinical judgment.
  • Data Collection and Analysis
  • Establish and monitor data collection systems to track behavior reduction and skill acquisition goals.
  • Analyze trends, levels, and variability in data to evaluate treatment effectiveness.
  • Prepare data summaries and visual displays for treatment reviews, risk meetings, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Collaboration and Consultation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including internal departments, DDS school systems, and other external providers.
  • Participate in risk meetings, intake, and transition planning for new referrals.
  • Provide consultation and training to staff on ABA principles, behavior support strategies, and ethical practice.
  • Initiate recommendations for additional clinical, psychological, or specialized evaluations as needed.
  • Documentation and Compliance
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation, including FBAs, PBSPs, progress notes, and treatment reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards (e.g., BACB Ethics Code), regulatory requirements, and agency policies.
  • Utilize electronic systems (iCentrix, HCSIS) to enter and maintain clinical and behavioral documentation.
